Se7en Remastering– VFX Editor (Premiere, Baselight)

FILM (DAVID FINCHER) — APR 2023 – FEB 2024

The remake of this classic was supposed to involve a few VFX shots, but the number of shots quickly grew. We stabilized or repositioned a large portion of the movie, and turned over many VFX shots to extend or fix that which was shot in the 90s. I was the VFX Editor and Online Editor. I was responsible for all of the turnover and deliveries of each VFX shot. I also conformed these shots and handled all the repos and most of the DI rendering.

The Killer– VFX Editor (Premiere, After Effects, Nuke)

FILM (DAVID FINCHER) — OCT 2021 – NOV 2023

I started as an Assistant Editor, even covering for the 1st AE for the first few months of production, thus training all 5 dailies labs. Once dailies were over and the need for VFX turnovers grew, then I transitioned to full-time VFX Editing. I did a wide variety of things, such as dailies, offline VFX and stabilization, and media management. I was responsible for all of the turnover and deliveries of each VFX shot.

Mank– VFX Editor (Premiere, After Effects, Nuke)

FILM (DAVID FINCHER) — OCT 2019 – NOV 2020

I started as an Assistant Editor, and once dailies were over and the need for VFX turnovers grew, then I transitioned to full-time VFX Editing. I did a wide variety of things, such as dailies, offline VFX and stabilization, and media management. I was responsible for all of the turnover and deliveries of each VFX shot. When COVID hit, we transitioned smoothly to working from home.

Mindhunter Season 2– Assistant Editor (Premiere, After Effects, Baselight)

SERIES (DAVID FINCHER) — JUN 2018 – AUG 2019

On season 2 I did much the same job as season 1, but with the Assistant Editor credit. I also did more media management and programming in python. I did more turnovers to conform, as well as receiving those turnovers and conforming. I found it useful to have both jobs since it allowed for better management of the colorist’s time and easier communication with the producer about schedule.

The Art Of Self Defense – Assistant Editor (Avid, After Effects)

FILM (BLEECKER STREET) — JAN 2018 – APR 2018

I was brought on as an Assistant Editor just to set up the system for the editor returning from set. When they had picture lock, I was brought in to turnover to every department. While turning over to VFX, I took the majority of the shots and completed the online VFX and delivered them to conform.

Mindhunter Season 1– Post PA / Apprentice Editor (Premiere, After Effects, Baselight)

SERIES (DAVID FINCHER) — MAY 2016 – OCT 2017

Mostly I was trained and responsible for conforming each episode and trailers, then delivering to a finishing house for IMF creation.

The Redeemers – Editor / VFX Compositor (Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve)

NMPBS – Editor (Avid, FCP)

New Mexico PBS — AUG 2013 – OCT 2015

Staff Video Editor for NMPBS, a PBS channel. Maintained media management for the station, including the ISIS. Editor on NMiF, Colores, and Public Square, as well as some promos and misc projects. Did grading, sound editing, and VFX work when needed. Assisted other editors on media management and technical problems.

Painting Albuquerque – Assistant Editor / Compositor (Avid)

NMPBS — JAN 2015 – AUG 2015

Assisted Michael Kamins in the hour long doc. The doc was about famous painters in the history of Albuquerque. There was an enormous amount of green screen interview footage. Myself and Antony Lostetter evenly split the responsibility of keying the footage. We keyed in Avid, using Boris effects. This allowed us to be flexible in the edit. I assisted in the AMA linking of many many photographs, and adding drop-shadows to animated non-AMA pictures, all in Avid. I also managed the media, especially important given the amount of media and the fact we made so many effects in Avid, which required cleaning old renders.

Longmire S04E10 – Set Production Assistant

SCRIPTED (TV) — JUN 2015

Did one day on Longmire as a set PA. It was the first day of their last episode of the season and they needed more hands on deck. It was a fantastic experience, however, because of my full time job at NMPBS and the fact that it was a 2 hour drive, I could only agree to one day.
